iPhone Apps! Shin Chan & FMA

Price:  $0.99

Description:

Integrate the antics of the Shin-Chan anime characters into your photos with the new Shin-Chan Picture Stamp app from Appliya and FUNimation. Create a funny pose with Action Bastard, or have Shin do his famous “a*s dance” in the photo you just took. The Shin-Chan Picture Stamp app allows you to make any picture more interesting with Shin and his friends and family.

Place “stamp” pics of characters from Shin-Chan on top of pictures you take with your iPhone. Like sticker-pictures, you can create a new image and save it for use as a wallpaper or share it with your friends. You can choose from 80 character images from the Shin-chan show, with a number of images of Shin in various costumes, including his famous frog suit. Once an image is picked, you can  move, rotate, and scale the character image on top of your original photo. You can add as many character stamps to your photos as you like.”

Share your Shin-Chan-ified creations on our Flickr Group: http://www.flickr.com/groups/funimation/ and I’ll get them posted to the blog.  w00t!

Countdown to Take-Off: T-minus 4… 3…

2 weeks left until the launch of Strike Witches on DVD on March 30th (Pre-order TODAY!).

With all the happenings of last week, we ended up skipping over the third panty “aeroplane”, as Lieutenant Anomay puts it. Scoop up both the third and fourth PDFs to fold up your own planes. I challenge one of you to make a pretty mobile with all the planes on it. Maybe I’d even be willing to throw in a Strike Witches DVD as motivation.

Find out more about the War on Pants in these posts and videos.

Download the panty paper airplane PDF and take some photos of your finished planes in action.
Share them on our Flickr page: Flickr.com/groups/FUNimation.
Or upload videos to YouTube and link them in the comments.

This week’s featured paper airplane is:

Lynette Bishop

and

Perrine H. Clostermann

San Gatsu no MADNESS 2010 – Full info now available

***Initial bracket had a few mistakes. It is now fixed. I have double checked for additional errors, but I could always have missed one. Please report any additional mistakes. Unfortunately, you will need to resubmit your bracket if it was submitted before this fix.***

Ready to make some picks and join in on the fun with us this month? Good, because the window to enter is only til Thursday! Here is everything you need to know regarding this years San Gatsu no MADNESS.

Fill out your brackets starting today by clicking on here http://blog.funimation.com/san-gatsu-no-madness/

Bracket submission will close 9am CST on Thursday March 18th. You will see FUNimation titles teamed up with real NCAA Men’s Basketball teams that are in this years March Madness tournament.  What this means is that when you pick Evangelion / Syracuse to defeat Save Me! Lollipop / Vermont the outcome of this game will be determined by the outcome of the actual game. Each FUNimation show is ranked based on the ranking of the real team they are paired with.  This should help you when filling out your brackets.  If you have trouble with the form or see any errors, let us know in the comments.

Now for the information you really care about – prizes!

We will be picking games randomly each round. If you pick the winning team combo of one of these games you will be entered in to win that rounds prize pack. If we have multiple games eligible for prizes that round you will be entered every time you pick the correct winning team. Here is how the prizes will break out and what they will be.

Round 1 & 2 (March 18 – 21) – Four games eligible, two winners each round

Prize: 1 box set of your choice

Regionals (March 25 – 28) – Four games eligible, two winners each round

Prizes: 2 box sets of your choice

Final Four (April 3) – Both games eligible, one winner this round

Prizes Pack: 3 box sets of your choice, one of each convention exclusive item we have in stock

National Championship: Pick the winner, one winner this round

Grand Prize Pack: 5 box sets of your choice, one of each convention exclusive item we have in stock, 1 autographed item to be named later

I hope you are all are liking this. We may be adding some additional contests later in the tournament (Picking all the correct teams is very hard to do) so if you don’t have a team combo late into the dance keep checking back to see if there are new ways to win.
