15,000 and counting on YouTube!
Our YouTube page just surpassed 15,000 subscribers. That’s a great milestone. We’re on our way to one day have more subs than Tay Zonday. You’ve got to set goals.

Yah! Do the Snoopy dance of joy!
It’s too bad you’ve got so many rock belly crawlers popping up on the comments section. “Wah, you took my subs and AMVs away! Why you take down my vids! I hate you!” Reading some of that crap is like being back in kindergarten. “I don’t wanna take a nap!”
Eh, as long as having people subscribing to and watching the YouTube has a positive effect on Funimation’s health as a company, thus keeping me in the dubbed DVDs I love, then it’s all totally worth it.
Actually, do you make any money directly from the YouTube channel?
Don’t let the comments bother you- YouTube has a superabundance of semi-literate trolls. :/ I love the fact that Funimation has a YouTube channel- I’ve just now subscribed. ‘Tis awesomeness.
(BTW: are there any plans to add Yuu Yuu Hakusho to the YouTube page? :3 YYH was the first show to make me a Funimation fan, and I still *love* that series.)
Same here, Grouper-kun!
FUNimation kicks ass!
Yes youtube has alot of trolls. Some Spoiler ▼
went on the FUNimation Channel an looked at all the people who left comments and put and let a vulgar comment on there page I hated the guy! and the kind of person I am I didn’t let him get away with a free attack on me!
Oh yeah, I got one of those vulgar comments too. Class act that troll. Really made me sympathetic to fansubbers with his childish name-calling and crass words. [/sarcasm]
I for one am extremely happy to see Funimation going after the illegal uploads. At the same time, I do want to see them add as many of the series that they are able to. Getting an illegal version removed but not providing a legal version isn’t ideal. (I know Funimation can’t do it for every series but I’d like to see every series they have digital rights to on YouTube, the Video Portal and other legal sites.)
YAY! CONGRATS!!

A lot of cool anime (that doesn’t consist of beating up weak people) gets created every season in Japan; they could basically sell themselves.
All they need are a lot of hard work, a lack of “red tape,” and a need to take things seriously.

We’re trying as hard as we can to. We’ve gotten over 750 episodes up on funimation.com/video and the number goes up every week.
Thanks for your support and backing us up.
Oh no Rojas, it is I who want to thank you and the company you’re working for. Right now, I honestly don’t believe that any of the other companies are paticularly interested in putting out the kind of shows I want to buy or releasing them in the way I want to buy them. (Box set or a well-done singles release with an English dub is what I want.)
Besides that, I feel that Funimation is making the most effort to try to make the R1 anime industry stronger. At the very least, you seem to be the only ones who aren’t crawling into a corner to do the blue-face of gloomy despair you see in anime. I don’t like everything ya’ll have done, and I don’t think you’re perfect, but I do think you’re trying very hard to do right by as many fans as possible.
Like Tyrenol said, and we can disagree on what shows are quality ones, if the red tape can get cut then the great anime can sell itself. It just takes companies and fans getting serious. Sure, some people are never going to buy DVDs but if they at least watch via the legal streams and downloads, then some money will get into the system and lower the risk factor for licensing a series.
Just watched some of School Rumble’s second season earlier today on the Video Portal too so I’m doing my small part to give it traffic. (Just hope it is getting good traffic. I am planning to get the DVDs but I got way behind on buying it a while back and only finished the season one singles in the recent past. Season two is so much funnier.)
Sorry for long reply.
Your blog is very interresting for me, i will come back here..
