I am sold on Black Lagoon. Man I am an easy target the case sold me >_>. well gotta get the first season as well ill probably buy them both at the same time………… (Really the back of the case sold me, I am an a** guy) *Runs away*
Ahh, so close, I’ll get first one of these days…
i thought funimation put their special distributed by funi label on the geneon stuff
anyway whats the fourth disc of black lagoon have?
black lagoon’s fourth disks has some extra features, but it’s just like japanese op and ed and stuff. Nothing worthwhile…
Sorry to double post but why is Ergo Proxy in this video? I have the same exact box set your showing up there…unless this is like a re-release of the show or something…but already? You guys just released the box set the first time a few months ago… Anyway amazing series. I’d reccomend it as well. I really enjoyed it. And Manglobe does own.
Anyway the DVD art on Vandread looks amazing nice job! And I always loved the steelbook sfor Black Lagoon, the second season one looks amazing! Great show too.
OMG!!! Since when do you post 2 giveaways at once???
DARN, I can never seem to move fast enough. I swear one of these days I’m getting it
Since FUNimation holds the license now, is the Vandread video still hardsubbed like the original Pioneer/Geneon release? Any chance of getting a sub pairing of Vandread Taidouhen/Vandread Gekitouhen with the new & updated footage?
I already have all three of the titles. It’s nice to see the packaging of the Vandread re-release though (I have the Geneon release of that one).
Hey Lance, you forgot to show the images that are behind the discs in the Black Lagoon case.
I found a site *REPORTED* , completely illegal lol. Has every eps of dragonball / z / gt and all movies. Anyone seen this ? We have to do something about it.
@Prede
Hey! Nice Package! isn’t limited to just new releases. We want to eventually show all of our packaging and DVDs.
So……… how much of Vandread has anyone advertising it actually watched? Cuz it is TOTALLY not just sci-fi/fanservice/mechs/boobs/or school!! (I don’t think anyone in this series even goes to school.)
It’s almost like calling Fullmetal Panic guns/mechs/and boobs…. there is more to this show than just fanservice and mechs… T_T
As a hardcore fangirl of this series, I am quite disappointed with the advertising so far.
BUT!! Loving the fact that the boxset has both seasons!! I was wondering if it had both! >w<
Rojas : Thanks so much for anwering me
. You rock.
I bought Ergo Proxy last… December. Great series, I loved it. I really want to check out Black Lagoon. It looks interesting. I might watch Vandread from FUNi video later.
ErgoProxy makes me happy, I’ve seen most of the series via the libaray but only own the first volume/OST combo. That series needs waaaay more love.
….I was this close to getting the first season of Black Lagoon on Sat, but ended up going with the Viridian for Fruits Basket.
@Guiltyspark
We do have the OVAs Vandread Turbulence (Gekitouhen) & Integral (Taidouhen) but I don’t have any information on how and when they will be released. I’m not quite sure what the rest of your question is asking (I’m not very technical on those aspects). If you want to elaborate, let me know.
@Rojas
Vandread — along with Gate Keepers, Adventures of the Mini-Goddesses, & Ah! My Goddess the Movie — were some of the last series Pioneer released with hardsubbed sign translations on the actual video. A good example would be the men’s rally in the first episode of Vandread (01:42 through 02:35).
“The Empire’s Center Recommends”
“Man’s Enemy a.k.a. The Empire’s Enemy”
“Destruction”
“Oppression”
“The time has come for the Empire to regain its prestige!”
After this period, Pioneer finally switched to using softsubs (a.k.a. signs-only subtitle track) for translating any Japanese text during a show.
I have spoken with the Vandread team and they are looking for an answer to your question.
I missed the contest again!
Arg!I would just like to win one.
=( oh well.Btw FUNI super good job on the package video i enjoy watching them.
@GuiltySpark
For Vandread, we used the DVD masters provided by Geneon, so no post-production work was done on our end. We have normal subtitles on this release, but anything painted onto the video was inherent in the source materials we received.
Oh well, I guess no upgrading for me from the Geneon release. Thanks for looking into it.
