Sony Launches FUNimation page on Playstation Network

For all you PS3 games out there – Sony launched our official page on the Playstation Network. There you can check out shows like Afro Samurai, Hell Girl, Shuffle!, Witchblade and many more.

PS3 - FUNimation Interface

Take a gander at the sample layout. What other FUNi characters would you like to see on our PS3 Page?

I need to get me one of them fancy PS3’s. I haven’t been able to watch any of our Blu-rays like Samurai 7 or Afro. Woe is me. I’m such an unfortunate soul to not have top of the line technology. So who all here is a PS3 aficionado? If you’re not, that’s ok. We’ve still have tons of other places to get your anime fix (funimation.com/video, Xbox Live, Hulu, Joost, Veoh, YouTube, etc.)

We’ll keep you updated on what’s coming out digitally as well as for your physical collections.

Made a typo with Trinity Blood. Also that’s a pretty good lineup.

Aw, this makes me want to get a PS3 even more. I still can’t convine myself it’s worth that price tag though. (I’ve heard it’s going to come down but when?)

Anyway, hope Funimation is getting some kind of profit out of all of these digital ventures. I love you guys and I don’t want to lose you! What with Geneon going to pieces and ADV deciding sub-only is good, I really don’t have any other company to turn to. Especially since ya’ll put out so many good shows. (Bandai and VIZ are nice but favorite shows are few and far between. MB and Nozomi are sub-only for most of the stuff I would wan’t from them. Manga does like one show a year.)

If possible Rojas, can you tell us if Funimation’s profit margins are looking better this year than last? (At the very least, can you tell us which if any shows could use more sales badly? As in, “we’re not making money on this one unless X more units sale.”)

Nintendo Fanboy. I can’t touch a PS3 or a 360 or ill get a Death Virus. i just gotta wait till Nintendo realizes that there fans are in Despair! I think they already know they just like making us squirm then burning us with a magnifying glass. but I am having hope that this years E3 they pull that Magnifying glass away. I know they will announce video service cause they are the first to have the video service in Japan and its pose to come to America this year. FUNimation talk with Nintendo to get a FUNimation Channel on Wii so you guys will be one of the first on there. (And don’t forget Wii has the biggest install base) ~_^…… I am sure you know how the Wii works we can download the Channel than when we click on the channel your logo will come up then we star the channel then. eto? Your anime will come up and you cangive us the option to change backgrounds and stuff….. Basically what I am saying is HELP US WE ARE BORED!!! WE ARE TIRED OF MINI GAMES!!! *ehm* Thank you for reading!

I am a proud owner of a PS3 (and a 360) and I gotta say I love my ps3 more than the 360 (dumb RROD!) I can say that both systems are well worth it. The new Funi page is cool, but I must admit, I will probably never use it to download shows (I prefer physical product) Great for trailers and previews though!

    Keep it up!

Read Stullz’s first two lines, and repeat them for me! :D

I have used the service, but it was for Xam’d, a show I watched and loved. So Funi: HI DEF! I cant in good conscience download a SD show on my PS3. Make it HD, and I’ll gladly check out a few of those shows I’ve been meaning to!

Fry’s electronics in Irving. It wasn’t listed on their Web site, but after calling them…I lucked out and they had it.

I do not like online purchases. (My latest excuse: It is more green to buy at a physical store than to inefficently have something delivered to your house. I wonder if that is true or not.)
