Anime Boston is wicked sick yo!
UPDATE: So I just confirmed a new show announcement this weekend at Anime Boston. I know that there’s at least one rabid fan on the blog who wants this show. Be sure to check out our industry panel if you’re interested. =)

I can say that because I spent most of my youth in MA so don’t be a hater.
Any-who, Anime Boston. This weekend. You should be there.
Why you ask? Because we have some cool stuff going on of course. If you want the nuts-and-bolts of what we have going on as always check out funimation.com/conventions for just the facts.

The staple for us at all the cons. The one where I talk as fast as I can to get out as much info-tainment as I can on all our new items coming out over the next 2-3 months. Sometimes we do some special things or have announcements. I’d be sure not to miss this one.
FUNimation Sneak Peek Panel – Fri. 2pm, Constitution Room
What to see a bit of some new shows? Be here! I’ll tell you about show, you get to see a bit of them, and hopefully this will get you to purchase or pre-order the DVDs. <—-SHAMELESS PLUG!! But really we hope you at least enjoy it and tell your friends about the show…and they go and purchase or pre-order the DVDs. <—-REVENGE OF THE SHAMELESS PLUG!!
Romeo X Juliet Premier Event – Sat. 4pm, Room 312
If you have not had a chance to check out the RxJ dub yet this is your chance. We will also have some great members of the royal families on hand roaming around the convention. They may even give you a gift if you are lucky. So keep your eye out on the floor for these of noble blood.

I’m pretty sure it’s Spice and Wolf. I found this: Kadokawa Pictures USA acquired an in-house license for the first Spice and Wolf anime season in North America, although the announcement on a distributor is still forthcoming.
Hey, is the FUNimation title being announced at animevice.com tommorow the same title that’ll be announced at Anime Boston?
Only one new license? Are you guys getting a little overwhelmed with new titles?
Very interested to see what the new title is. Hopefully, it will be something that I can sink my teeth into so to speak.
It’s xxxholic: Kei! Actually..I have a feeling it won’t be.
How sad, really. It better be or..well..nothing really I’ll still buy your shows..at least some of them. Ah! Of course! The entire Sailormoon series re-dubbed!
I’m kidding. The more anime licenses the better.
WoW it’s Spice and Wolf. Who knew? Well it’s a show a lot of people want, hope it does well for them. I gata check it out a little more, but I might buy. Seems like an alright show to me, just reading about it.
Why? This oh well
At least when Funimation gets Spice n Wolf it’l be dubbed, unlike some other companies out there.
YES YES YES YES!!!! THEY HAVE THEY HAVE IT WOOT THANK YOU FUNI!!!!! ALL HAI FUNI!!!

@ Cookies: You are so right. I haven’t been keeping a running total but just off the top of my head I can remember at least fifteen different posts about how Spice and Wolf is “too niche” for an English dub and “it will never sell” and blah blah blah. (The worst are always the “it doesn’t deserve a dub” posts.)
I haven’t watched fansubs of this show so I can’t claim to already know if I’ll love it or not but what I’ve read and heard about it makes me think I’ll like it a lot. And I haven’t read or heard anything to make me think it’s destined to be a huge flop, with or without an English dub.
While there are other shows I’d be more excited about a license for, this is certainly good news!
(Hopefully we get a cast list before the end of the year.)
Has anyone seen my video. I’m soo proud of it. When the show was announced i had to do a video of this. I will post it again when the confimations up on here.
Lawrence= Vic Mignogna, Jerry Jewell, Eric Vale, or Todd Haberkorn and possibly JOHNNY YONG “ICHIGO” Bosch for him, if you know what I mean
Holo= Laura Bailey (California), Cherami Leigh, Monica Rial, and possibly Carrie Savage or Luci Christian.
Richard J: I don’t understand the people who say “it is too niche for a dub”, when there’s so many people out there screaming for the show, I think that means it’s fairly popular, It should do alright. If Peach Girl made money, this can easily. Because no offense, but I never meet a person who was a huge fan of that show, but there’s tons of people who love Spice and Wolf…
If anything, giving Spice N Wolf a Dub, is better than, say.. doing a Bandai and not dubbing Hayate and making it into parts for a premium price for what it essentially Is.
Awesome, very nice. Ohh and one last thing…Devito! LOL!!
I’m sorry guys, this is off topic but you guys also got the hook up at twitter? Then why didn’t you tell me you son of a gun we could’ve been hanging out weeks or months ago, LOL!!
Now that’s nice! Carry on guys.
Later!
