AoD Pick of the Week – Claymore Volume 5

Claymore Vol. 5As our reader joelgundam01 pointed out, Claymore Volume 5 is AnimeonDVD’s pick of the week. Congrats to Claymore for being such an awesome show.

Volume 5 contains episodes 19 -22.

This is one of those series that once started, I just couldn’t put down.  If you want to check it out, we’ve got some clips HERE.  Who here has been collecting the series?  Care to share thoughts on your favorite Claymore?

Claymore had been called “the female version of Berserk.” But I think it’s more like “Negima without the magical 10-year-old.” (I joke about Steph Young being Claire and Mana, as par with all audio jokes about Funimation’s voice-actring staff.)

Kinda sad, really; how a series is not considered a good series unless it’s done with cute girls. I thought Berserk was too gruesome; but not with Claymore.

I’m saddened that not every other anime could be like Busou Renken and currently Last Exile. But hey. :P

I’ve heard about it but never really thought about picking it up… and what with the other 10 series I wanna get/am collecting as well as my manga collection that is updated almost every other week, I may not be picking it up for a while.

I loved Volume 5, maybe my favourite so far.

The best character introduction on this volume would be that guy who all the awakened beings back off because he wants to come fight, he transforms into whats his name?

I know its not a favourite Claymore post but a post none the less.

Also the Priscilla scene was kinda sad, but at the end of the day she’s a murderer.. so its kinda hard to feel for her.

“As our reader joelgundamn01 pointed out”

Oh wow! Either that was one heck of a typo or someone really doesn’t like Gundam. :D

As for your question, I’ve been collecting Claymore and as I said before, I already received vol. 5 from Right Stuf a few weeks ago.

As for my favorite Claymore, it would have to be Galatia.

    (**Points to avatar**)

I personally prefer the manga over the anime. Galatia gets far more exposer in the manga and her personality really flairs as well.

    @ Cookies

I believe you’re talking about Rigardo “The Silver Eyed Lion”.
