Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood Ep. 7 and Phantom Ep. 8

Did you watch the new episodes of FMA: Brotherhood (Thursdays @ 10am CST) and Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~ (Thursdays @ 1pm CST) on FUNimation.com/Video?

Yes? Good. No? What are you waiting for? We’re already at episodes 7 and 8.  Time flies when you’re watching anime.  But I’m sure you already knew that.

Again, if you haven’t been keeping up, we have been streaming these episodes shortly after their debut in Japan.  It’s fast, it’s legal, it’s awesome.  And don’t forget FMA: Brotherhood is also currently available at Hulu and YouTube.

    Somebody needs to shoot that guy who shouts “FullMetal Alchemist!” in English during the eyecatches already. Seriously.

    I’ll second that. I don’t know how production wants to handle the break slides for the dub, but either try and make it really, really funny, or just take the audio out completely (probably the latter).

    Wow :| … didn’t know it was such a big deal.

    Anyways, Phantom is starting to heat up! Though it has been doing that already :D Thanks again Funi for the episode!

    I third that!
    Do you really wanna ruin the atmosphere of a scene by shouting “Fullmetal Alchemist” in the middle of the episode???

    Spoiler ▼

    SERIOUSLY, I FEEL LIKE SLAPPING THE CRAP OUT OF THE PERSON WHO THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD IDEA TO DO SO!!!

    If the shouting was removed in the dub, wont people complain that FUNi didnt stay true to the original? :?

    @Risami
    Our retail partners handle exchanges and replacements for customers. If you still have problems after you talk with your retailer, send an email to productconcerns@funimation.com and they will walk you through the steps to receiving a replacement.

    And UmmYeahOk may have a point.
    Please discuss. :-)

    Phantom is starting to heat up! I’m very interested in where they are going to take this, it’s going way off from what I wanted, but that’s okay! It’s all so exciting!

    @Umyeahokay,
    Well that wasn’t really part of the actual show so I think its a change that would be (gratefully) forgiven.

    Salv on says:

    Personally I don’t mind the breaks, sounds a bit dumb but it would be the same on TV so I can put up with it here as well ^^

    If you want to remove something thought, I say don’t just cut the voice off, remove the whole break so that the show will have a better flow.
