Work is weird without internet… Otakon 2009 Day 1 Vlog

Howdy guys. Sorry for the delayed communication today. We’ve had some technical difficulties with our external internet connection. Luckily the email system still worked so I got to catch up on answering some of your backlogged messages. I finally got me a hold of some good ol’ internet so here’s my Day 1 vlog of Otakon. Luckily I set it to upload on YouTube before I left the house today. :D Enjoy.

Also, tell me if you’re one of the wonderful Dragon Ball cosplayers that happened to be in our video.

    I dig Sonny’s drawing of Hughes.

    Viz had licensed Vampire Knight. (Even though I believed FUNi should’ve licensed this series.)

    But I should be glad. Another rightfully popular anime that’s not “IQ-slaughtering animu” had been brought into the West. :D

    “5 eps later” completely true. That why I could never become a hard core fan for DB. Too many eps used for just powering up. Its a good show though. funny bit though for cell and gohan :lol:

    @Tyrenol

    Here’s to hoping it doesn’t take 2 years to get released (like Nana & Honey and Clover) & that it doesn’t get cancelled before completion (like most of Viz’s other shows). :x

    @NJ_:

    I wouldn’t worry about it too much. VK is considerably shorter than most of the stuff that Viz licenses (which isn’t saying much), so it should be a quick release.

    @dragon0:

    Dragon Ball Kai would suit you, then (although some of the original voice actors aren’t there anymore).

    By the way, did anyone else spot the Pac-Man cosplay at around 5:30? :wink:

    Dragonball?

    Not that I like this show either. But there’s a few shows here and there that tell you, at the beginning, not to “steal anime” whilst the makers of Dragonball don’t have to. You wonder why. :P

    @ NJ_

    One word for ya: Twilight.

    I don’t know. Kai is basiclly the same but who knows. The series itself is good. Enough for me to say yeah I’d watch it, but I personally don’t think I would buy it. Sorry Db fans, it just not one of my favs, but its not like I hate it. :wink:

    Funimation answering e-mails? I didn’t think you guys actually answered them. I’ve sent at least 5 and I’ve never recieved a response.

    I was Gohan.  Thanks for the chance to ad lib, it was a lot of fun!  Great job cutting all of that together.   You really captured the essence of DBZ with “5 episodes later” lol!
