One Piece going back online!
If you haven’t heard yet, One Piece will be making its way back online. I was gonna try to rewrite the press release to more layman’s terms, but I don’t think I could explain it any better. So here:
Starting Saturday, August 29th at 9:00 p.m. CDT, just one hour after airing in Japan, FUNimation and the consortium will mark the return of “One Piece” online simulcasts with the Amazon Lily Saga story arc beginning with episode 415, via the official One Piece website www.onepieceofficial.com followed soon thereafter by FUNimation partner sites.
In addition, beginning Friday, August 21st FUNimation will stream episodes from the Sabaody Archipelago Saga story arc starting with episode 391. FUNimation will add three episodes at 9:00 pm CDT daily leading up to the simulcast of 415.
Read the full press release here.
Enjoy the One Piece goodness.
Don’t forget One Piece: Season Two, Second Voyage will be on DVD on August 25th.

Congratulations, Funimation!
Although, it would have been much safer to post the press release on the day of the simulcast (especially after what happened last time
).
This is jumping the gun a little bit, don’t you think?
That said, I’m glad that it’s coming back.
I hope One Piece catches up with Naruto in Popularity in America. One Piece is just as epic. Its surprising that we are getting like 40 Naruto games a year and we get no One Piece. One Piece Unlimited Cruise Part 1 and Part 2 is there and ready to be given to us but Namco Bandai won’t give it to us. EuropeXJapan ~~~~~~ = America Left out. HA! I know how the Europe guys feel when they don’t get stuff we get…… It doesn’t feel good!
sure hope you have next time at the end of the episode, after all there is no reason to leave it out since it part of it
Awesome news
! I know that this will make a lot of fans happy. Are there any plans to stream the dub from episode 1, like you guys were previously?
It doesn’t say in the press release, but do you know if episodes 1 and up will be uploaded too? Like last time?
edit – Sorry, didn’t see that kit-kat had asked the same thing. :p
This is fantastic news. As a fan of the series I was worried the issues back in May would damage its changes of returning. But this is better than I could’ve hoped.
Though I admit I think episode 385 would’ve been a better place to start bulk-uploading than 391, since that’s really the proper start of that arc. But no need to nitpick. Once the simulcast starts I’ll be sure to check it every week.
I will also ask are you going to add episode 1 on, I am not all caught up to One Piece so I want to know if I will ever get to watch it.
That makes me happy when I heard this yesterday. :) I am real glad you guys were able to get these back up. Cross your fingers nothing else goes wrong. I was actually going to pick up the new set this past weekend but suncoast near has been weird when it comes to new anime releases the last two weeks I went.
Like with everyone else, I am curious to know if the earlier episodes (Episodes 1+) will be uploaded as well, as what was done when this had initially began. The press release makes no mention of this and I’m really wanting a confirmination as to whether or not the older episodes will still be a go for this.
However, having said this though. I am quite glad to see the simulcast will begin resuming next week. Looking forward to this!
I would like to start watching from episode one myself, I don’t care either way however, its not my kind of anime to buy.
@ Chrisc: In the beginning I wasn’t very keen on One Piece either but it is extremely good once it gets going. If they can upload the early eps, you’ll probably enjoy it. Once you get past the oddness of the world.
Great news and can’t wait to see the simulcast start back. Hopefully there won’t be any more “incidents” this time.
@Richard J I guess I will never know if its good. Its still not the kind of anime I buy. I still have a list of Funimation titles I want to buy, but only a little money right now.
This is some unbelievable news! Hopefully this will get One Piece a lot more notoriety out of this. I hope you can also get all the videos on popular streaming sites such as Hulu, as had been the case before the simulcast was put on hold. Once again, thank you for everything you’ve done for the anime community and keep up the good work!
This is great news for everyone in North America!
Unfortunately, that leaves the rest of the world. It’s a shame that Toei is so uptight with the rights on this simulcast.
Will the simulcast be in HD? Thats a BIG determining factor for me, and I think a lot of other people to if we chose funimation as our OP viewing source.
Can’t wait. Hope its HD, if so, you’ll have me and a lot others attendance!
Hey guys i was just wondering, ive been looking everywhere but i cant seam to find the One Piece DVD’s. Would anyone know were i could get these DVD’s (English dubbed) and the order to buy them in in order to go from episode 1,2,3 and so forth.

Depends on your budget! Your best bet is to ask her
i just started watching one piece (Online) and i am almost done. the problem is i watch the dub and there are only one hundred and fifteen or sixteen episodes. I hear a lot about dvd releases and that funimation is on something like its four hundredth episode. because of were I live it makes it a little difficult to get the dvd’s. so my point is are they holding out on the dubbed episodes or are they just not releasing them on anime websites.
