So far I watched episode 1 thu 6, not that I expect more of the early ones but I have my fingers crossed. How about rotating them like how VIZ shows Naruto on Hulu they show a new dub episode each week and takes down the earliest episode, keepin only five episodes showing.

I so can’t wait to watch the new episode. Because it will mean one less episode before the crap hits the fan and the one of the most epic arcs in One Piece will start. Those who read the latest manga chapter know exactly what I mean. Spoiler ▼

Will the simulcast be in HD? Thats a BIG determining factor for me, and I think a lot of other people to if we chose funimation as our OP viewing source.

I just watched your previous release of OP, looks like no HD if the next simulcast is like the one before. Sad…. do you guys know if this is a possibility, Getting HD? And is the preview for the next episode going to be missing also, or was it just past releases?

Man, I can’t wait! Funimation is the best, I love the new dub they’ve done for One Piece (it breathes a refreshing life into the series) and I just can’t wait to see the Simulcast! The new DVD’s are really slick too, they’re lining up pretty nicely in my collection, hehehe. Thank you so much to Funimation, the new voice actors/actresses, and all the people in Japan who worked together to have all this cool stuff happen, you’re doing this great series true justice!

Well this is most unpleasant. I can’t even play it for a half hour and when it finally starts playing it freezes one minute into the opening. I hope you guys can pinpoint the problems causing this and fix it, or the simulcast will not be enjoyable at all.

I am in agreement with GoldenUmi, the experience is less enjoyable than having your teeth pulled.
If I were to rate the way the simulcast was handled, I would rate it a 1 out of 5. It wasn’t handled in the best of ways.
I suggest that Funimation releases the episodes on both the Onepieceofficial site as well as the Funimation Video Portal at the same time after the episode is shown in Japan.

Well don’t get me wrong. I am very appreciative of Funi’s work on this and love having my One Piece fix after a long day of work. Not to mention they are providing fans a legal alternative, which is how it should be. The only thing that needs to be worked on is the basic connection, as they should expect massive overloads on Saturday night from the many fans trying to access it.
I just watched the episode. You guys did an awesome job with the subs and the video quality rocked. This is truly a new chapter in Anime history.
Btw, releasing DVD sets with sub only for the current season 11 is not such a bad idea, but it probably won’t happen. Although I’d still buy the dub either way when it came out.

I gotta say that it was a pain, but I appreciate this being done. Sure it took a while, but it is better than nothing at all.
I noticed that the way videos are done with the video portal, worked amazingly well (like the trailer loaded in an instant on the front page), but it was just the player on the videos page giving trouble. Is there a reason it is being done different and cannot go on the portal at the same time?

Are you sure you have the latest version of flash installed, and the latest update to your browser? If you’re certain you have the latest version of flash installed, and your internet browser is definitely up-to-date, but you’re still experiencing problems, then you should let rojas or someone else from FUNi know. I’d recommend when you contact them that to speed things along you go ahead and let them know what type of OS you’re on (Windows XP, Windows Vista, MAC OS X, etc.), what type of browser you’re using (IE 8, Firefox 3.5, Safari 4, Chrome, etc.), your internet speed (dial-up, dsl, etc.) when you contact them.
