New York Times Covers New York Anime Festival
Hooray! The New York Times does a little article about the upcoming NYAF happenings this weekend. FUNimation does get a mention in regards to the Soul Eater event. Check out this excerpt:
[One of the most anticipated anime series premieres is “Soul Eater” (above left), about students at a special school for weapons training. But in this educational institution special means supernatural, and the headmaster is Death. The cast of the series, from FUNimation Entertainment, will have a signing session on Friday at 4 p.m. and another on Saturday, just after a 1 p.m. screening of the first three episodes. On Sunday at 1 p.m. fans of cosplay (costume play) dressed as “Soul Eater” characters are invited to take part in a group photo.] Read More.
See – we’re a big deal.

Y’all must be a big deal if you’re in the Times! Congrats!
Wow, that’s really cool. Congrats on the mention, and hope the panel and premier kicks butt, which I know it will!
Can we get a timetable on when the first few dubs will be online (how long after the NY screening)?
I read it at school. It’s a big deal indeed. I’m really excited to see the screening. Aww, no group photo for me XD
Or at least Soul Eater is a big deal. Even on the top of the http://newyorkanimefestival.com/ website is an image of different characters of Soul Eater when you keep going back.
I wish I could be there
You guys have been a big deal as of late with all the great additions to you already impresived list of anime. This is just another step forward for you.
All kinds of comments spring to mind but setting politics aside, I’ve got to say it’s pretty darn cool to see any mention of anime in the papers. Maybe someone will read this and the buy it!
Hopefully the next Soul Eater update we see is a tv deal. That would be beyond awesome.
Please Fun Make a SOUL EATER GO ON T.V. on syfy(sci fi) or Adult swim. WE NEED MORE ANIME ON TV! by the way are you guys ever going to release familiar zero season 2 any time soon?
