Weekly Dose of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
It’s been a while since I reminded you guys on the blog to keep watching FMA: Brotherhood. Episode 29 just got posted, so be sure to check it out. We’re getting deep into the storyline and the Elrics are once again in some hot water. Watch the events unfold at FUNimation.com/Video.
And for those of you that have been following Phantom, you know the complete season of 26 episodes is now available. And if you haven’t seen it yet, now you can hardcore marathon the series today. I expect a full detailed summary of each episode by tomorrow morning.

I know. The shows they got suck, except for Hidamari Sketch. I don’t feel like arguing today so I will just ignore it. I saw Hidamari Sketch already there is no need to buy. (Yeah I am scum) but that’s what happens when you don’t dub, they give no reason to buy. I love SHAFT but I don’t support sub-only DVD’s.

FMA: Brotherhood will not be a series with hundreds of episodes. I have personally read all of the manga that has been released in Japan and we are on pace to only see about a 2 or 3 season series. In Japan they have currently released 100 chapters and the creator has said that it will only have a few chapters left until the series ends. After episode 29 we just finished chapter 57 in the manga. So at their current pace, it will only be 2 seasons, But the anime has shown signs of slowing down. So it might be possible for them to make it 3 seasons but no more than that.

I’m so far behind on these but I’ll catch up with Phantom before the DVDs come. FMA: B I think I’m going to wait for DVD so I can hear the dub cast again.

Are the ads that are now showing in the middle of episodes still being tweaked? I’m fine with FUNi showing a few in the streams, but lately from watching One Piece and FMA:B they’ve really been intrusive.
Some at the start of the episode and during the natural commercial break are fine, but in the middle of a scene? Really!? If it stays like that it’ll alienate a lot of viewers. I’m hoping there’s room to compromise.
Some variety would be good as well. So far each and every ad I’ve seen is for Covergirl. I can safely say I’m never going to buy those products.
