FUNiCon 2.0 this month? Even better – next week!

You have been asking when our next online panel will be and we are happy to provide an answer.

FUNiCon 2.0 online panel will take place from 6:30 to 7:30 pm CST on Thursday December 17th

Since the first online panel, FUNiCon 1.0, we have learned a lot and will be changing some things for the better. One of these improvements will be having guests on the panel so you the fan can get a better perspective of whats going on behind the scenes here.  That and you won’t have to stare at my floating head for an hour.  Here are the guests we will have on the panel next week:

Mike McFarland (ADR Director for Evangelion 1.11 and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood)

J. Micheal Tatum (Voice of Lawrence in Spice & Wolf and ADR Director of Rin)

Another of these improvements will be to accept questions prior to the panel.  This will help to keep Rojas sane and focus more about about the panel then trying to filter live questions quickly.  So if you have a question about FUNimation, our shows, anime in general for Mike, J. Micheal, Rojas, or myself send us an e-mail with the subject line ‘question for panel’ to feed...@funimation.com.  You may ask more than one question.   We will try and answer as many questions as possible.  We will take questions up until 5pm CST on Wednesday December 16th.

@ chrisc:  ”What else are they going to do for an hour, answer many questions why some animes like to have weak male leads? The whole objective is to promote there shows.”

And then it wouldn’t be much of an online panel, now would it?  It would be just Rojas and friends goofing off.  (I didn’t sign on for that.)

It would be a great birthday present for me if they answered my question with as much seriousness as they can muster.  If they managed to answer all the answers they can, it would counteract all the negativity found within the otaku-tachi and the industry that caters them.

Sent my question. It’s kind of long, but I’d like to think slightly unique. I at least it gets touched on a little.

I sent mine in, however it will probably get skipped since I was asking how huge errors get through the QC stages on final releases…

I just sent in several questions so I hope at least one gets answered.  Preferably one about the cast for certain show that finally got solicited. :D

I’m the guy that runs the Evangelion conventions at Anime Boston:  we met there.  I submited about 20 questions

20 Questions? That’s insane for a 1 hour panel lol. I hope everyone gets a question or two each thats somewhat relivant answered, it would be boring if only questions from one person were being answered for most of the hour.

    V on says:

well, what usually happens at live-panels at conventions is that kids keep asking “why are the fight scenes so cool?” etc., then they run out of questions near the end; I put in as many as I needed so they have a choice

***btw…where do we go to watch this online panel live?  The video player?
