Strike Witches – Winning the War on Pants
Strike Witches seems to be a phenomenon that’s hitting America by storm. “How so?” you may ask. The group Improv Everywhere conducts worldwide missions to cause scenes of chaos and joy in public places. In their latest attempt, over 3,000 participants in New York, not including additional people from 43 other cities around the world in 16 countries, went pantless while using various forms of public transportation. See videos and more after the jump.
During the annual occurrences labeled as “No Pants Rides”, participants publicly display their drawers while riding on subways, trains, rails, etc. and some just congregating in public places for some good ol’ no pants time. The key is to behave like everything is normal – or have improptu dance battles.
Of course, this all must have been inspired by our 2010 Strike Witches campaign to win the war on pants (even if the no pants rides started 9 years ago). If you’re not familiar with what I mean, then you’ll have to watch the trailer for the series.
I like Japanator’s comment about the trailer, “If you do not laugh, you have no soul.”
I hope everyone here has souls. If you don’t, maybe you need to go on some quest to attain one by traveling to a distant land, while meeting colorful characters along the way. And through your travels with your companions, you realize you’ve had a soul the whole time. Then, and only then, come back and watch the Strike Witches trailer.

Instigating on old topics i see, well kudos to you as we may get some more entertainment out of this new development.
@Mario1-7
I’d say the same thing for Media Blasters only in their case they won’t dub an anime if it doesn’t have big boobies (looking at Queen’s Blade & the Ikki Tousen sequels)

I just got my computer back from the shop not long ago and I’m still working on getting all my old programs back on it. So I still don’t have my old MSN on it yet. Have we really been chating here a year already? My how time flies. Not much of a phone talker but I could never bring myself to say a mans voice is “sexy” even if it were. ![]()
I tell you what. I’ll at least go watch the 1st ep later on. After that I’ll decide if I would like to watch more.
@Dragon0: I’d recommend watching the first two episodes to sample the show, since they sort of work together as a two-part single arc that introduces all the characters and sets up the rest of the show.

Dude just beware of 1 thing. There is this guy his name Tsuyoshi Shiga, he where’s glasses and he shows up at random times trying to teach the team to meditate. He is SOOOOOOOO!!!! Boring. He comes out of nowhere bores the hell out of you and after he is done pissing you he disappears he doesn’t even go to the baseball games. I think he shows up 3 times and he goes on the vacation with them. I HATE that guy and I am sure you will to.
In short the guy that comes out of nowhere with the glasses sucks. You will be bored when he shows up. he makes 1 point about 3rd base that helps them out then the rest of his actions are useless.

There is a picture of him. Damn I hate him.
After watching the first ep of Big Windup I can say this for now. It is good enough that I could watch it but not to the point where I would buy it. Especily since season 2 has practicly no chance of being licenced.
Anyways,
Will buy. It’s good to see that Strike Witches is faithfully coming to America!
I wish I could say the same for the development of the second season in Japan.
Well this is one of the “People complaining about the shows they don’t watch” types
I’m pretty much tired of all the hates and frowns this anime gets..
Maybe this should’ve stayed as mecha musume drawing after all
Oh yah, most people also dislike mecha musume in general too.. tired of it also..
