It looks really nice in high definition. Unfortunately I don’t have a Blu Ray player so I’ll be getting Eva 1.11 on dvd.
Also when can we expect more subtitled episodes of Birdy to be uploaded to the FUNimation video channel?

I’m kind of annoyed you didn’t put up one of the 3 minutes of new scenes, but then again, they’re so short I understand that you didn’t want to give the whole thing away.
Overall, FUNimation, I was very impressed with the Blu Ray’s quality (technical review sites are officially saying its the new benchmark title to measure the audio-visual quality of other Blu Rays against)……overall, the English dub voice cast was also amazingly good (Toji had some problems, but that’s third tier characters)…and overall, the ADR dub script was very sleek and organic.
The “actual movie” was quite impressive, but I’m disappointed in the relative lack of special features and bonus content.
Of course, EVERYONE is cutting back on those what with the economy…but it’s no reason to lower our standards.

Adding the extra few minutes of footage would make buying 1.11 pointless for those who have already bought the first release.

Not exactly since i bought 1.01 to ease my impatience and i plan to buy 1.11 as well just for the added footage (same reason that i switched from the DBZ orange bricks to the dragon boxes).

If you did then that’s good but if it was a poor seller (as all signs indicate) then that means nobody else did.

I’m getting it in blu-ray!!!!!~~~~~~~~ and, well, the fact they have a 1.01 and then released 1.11 with extra footage gave me the excuse to buy a standard dvd and the blu-ray version! ♥

I got my copy of 1.11 today and watched it straight through as soon as it arrived. It was amazing. The movie itself is better than the series in every way, and you guys did a killer job with the dubbing. I’m very happy with my purchase.
Would’ve been nice to get the Blu-Rei, but there’s no point if I don’t have a player.
