Here at FUNimation, we have a lot of creative minds that are constantly bubbling. Various designers create packaging, ads, web banners, trailers, and more.  Though anime is awesome, one can only work on it for so long.  In an effort to prevent the artistic energy from growing stagnant, you’ve gotta keep the creative waters flowing.  One exercise that has evolved within the office is “Kitty Friday”.

What is “Kitty Friday”?

Basically, a kitty image is pulled from the internet each Friday.  Then, anyone who wants to participates creates their own rendition of the kitty or kitties.  From superheroes to hotdogs, the kitties get transformed it whatever randomness spawns from the artists’ minds.  Here is one of the first collections utilizing a fairly well-known kitty image.
