Red Data Girl Joins the FUNimation Spring Simulcast

April 9, 2013 – FLOWER MOUND, TX – FUNimation Entertainment announced today that it has acquired the streaming rights for Red Data Girl. This 12 episode series is from Black Butler director, Toshiya Shinohara.

Red Data Girl will premiere on https://funimation.comApril 10th at 1pm ET/ 12pm CT. The simulcast will air every Wednesday at 1pm ET/ 12pm CT.

Shy 15-year-old Izumiko has trouble fitting in. Not only does she live a sheltered life with her grandfather at the local shrine, but modern devices like computers and cell phones crash whenever she touches them. When a bully from her childhood – the handsome but prickly Miyuki – enrolls in her school, their lives become involuntarily entwined. As Izumiko learns she is the last vessel of a goddess, Miyuki is forced to serve as her guardian. Although the two fail to get along at first, their meeting marks the beginning of a shift in Izumiko’s destiny.
