Anime Boston, Anime North and Animazement Weekend of Convention Insanity

Anime Central was so much fun last weekend, we just couldn’t wait to get back out this weekend at Anime Boston, taking place May 24th-26th at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, MA!

If you thought Anime Central had some cool stuff, wait til you see what we have in store for New England anime fans!

Friday May 24th

3:30-4:30pm –Panel 208 (Hynes) – Funimation Town Hall

An intimate discussion behind the business of anime, and the past, present, and future of Funimation. Audience participation is strongly encouraged!

5:00pm-7:30pm – Ballroom C (Hynes) – Eureka 7: AO Premiere

Ao, ten years after his mothers mysterious disappearance, searches for answers and might just be humanity’s salvation in this exciting series. join ADR Director Zach Bolton, Micah Solusod as AO and Monica Rial as Noah the Sloth, with a special appearance by Anime Boston guest Stephanie Sheh, the original voice of Eureka!

9:30pm-12:00am – Ballroom C (Hynes) – Michiko & Hatchin Premiere

Action, adventure and a moped in this Brazilian inspired series! After the screening, stay for a q& a session with ADR Director Christopher Bevins and Monica, voice of Michiko.

We will have cosplayers walking around the convention and at some of our different events handing out prizes to random fans who are spotted with FUNimation ribbons on their convention badge.

Here is how to score your ribbons:

  • Pick up a free FUNimation.com badge ribbon at the FUNimation booth
  • Show you are a FUNimation.com Member or Elite Video Subscriber and receive a 2nd ribbon. (We will have a member list at our booth as well as computer stations for you to log-in or sign-up).
  • All ribbons have a chance to win, the higher the level of ribbon, the greater the chance is!

Sophie McNutt from Funimation.com will be joining all our friends north of the boarder for Anime North in Toronto, Canada! She has lots of our awesome new trading cards and tons of new series, so make sure you stop by.

We were so sad that we couldn’t make it to Animazement after we had so much fun there last year, but fortunately our friends at Suncoast in North Carolina were able to come out with some great freebies and a table full of Funimation titles.
