Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood takes #3 spot on Netflix TV Binge List

Hypable.com posted their “Netflix TV Binge List: End of Summer Edition” where Fullmetal Alchemist took the #3 spot above ‘Parks and Recreation’ and ‘Fringe’. Congrats to the Elric brothers for hanging with the big boys. What would your list be?

From Hypable.com:
3. ‘Fullmetal Alchemist (2003)/Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood’
How many of you will not watch anime because Pokemon, Naruto, or Yu-Gi-Oh left a bad aftertaste? Well, here is an anime I dare you not to get addicted to absolutely immediately. Fullmetal Alchemist follows brothers Edward and Alphonse as they search for the legendary philosohper’s stone to fix their torn bodies after a futile attempt to raise their mother from the dead. Along the way, these two brothers meet interesting characters and uncover an evil that does not just threaten their search for the stone, but the lives of an entire country.

This series has anything and everything you could want: great humor, legitimate horror, memorable characters, impressive action, and heartbreaking moments. Both series are amazing and have topnotch animation, but they do not follow the same plot all the way through. Watch the 2003 version first and then go back and watch Brotherhood. Ed’s hothead and Mustang’s flame alchemy will keep things burning. A word to the wise: the Law of Equivalent exchange does not just apply to alchemy. The cost of watching this series is your heart, and the philosopher’s stone can’t get it back for you.
