English Recording Set to Begin for Ghost in the Shell: Arise

Flower Mound, Texas (May 13, 2014) – FUNimation® Entertainment announced today recording will begin shortly for the English dub version of the latest installment in the Ghost in the Shell franchise. Following in the footsteps of the Japanese release, a brand new cast has been chosen to voice the younger characters featured in Ghost in the Shell: Arise. Casting should be finalized in the next few weeks, with a cast announcement scheduled shortly thereafter.

 

Ghost in the Shell: ARISE – Borders 1 & 2, both 50 minute OVAs, will be combined into a single release – expected to hit later this year. FUNimation has previously released a limited run of first two OVAs as imported, Japanese Collector’s Editions.

 

For fans looking to get in on the action sooner, FUNimation will be hosting one-night theatrical screenings for Ghost in the Shell: Arise – Borders 1 & 2 (Japanese audio w/ English subtitles) in select cities on May 29th.
