Fall 2016 – Dubbletalk Announcement

Hello everyone! With the recent (and exciting!) Crunchyroll partnership, you may have noticed that things have changed for the upcoming fall anime season: Funimation is now primarily focused on simuldubs!

This means a couple of things for Funimation and for Dubbletalk. First, it means that we have a HUGE number of dubs to choose from this season, and that some are happening even faster than previous seasons (as soon as two weeks)! It also means that, rather than timing shows to line-up with the Japanese broadcast time,  we now have more flexibility to launch shows based on when most of our audience actually sits down to watch.

So with that being said, we’re bringing you a bigger Dubbletalk season than ever before! As we announced on last night’s show, we’ll be expanding the line-up from three shows a season to five! And, don’t worry, you don’t have to cram them all in during one sitting! Instead of a Dubbletalk block, shows will stay in their current primetime slots, so just watch the episodes throughout the week and join Justin, Chad, and me on Wednesdays for the usual banter, fun, and prizes!  Here’s what we’ll be covering this season:

 91 Days – Premiering on FunimationNow Sunday, October 23 @ 9pm ET

Orange – Premiering on FunimationNow Monday, October 24 @ 9:30pm ET

• Keijo!!!!!!!! – Premiering on FunimationNow Tuesday, October 25 @ 10pm ET

NANBAKA – Premiering on FunimationNow Saturday, November 5 @ 10:30pm ET

Drifters – Premiering on FunimationNow Sunday, November 6 @ 10pm ET

• Dubbletalk LIVE – Every Wednesday @ 9:30p ET on Twitch.tv/Funimation

With the new show launches, we’ll cover 91 days, Orange, and Keijo!!!!!!!! next week along with the season finales of D.Gray-man HALLOW and Tales of Zestiria the X; we’ll then begin covering NANBAKA and Drifters once they launch as well!

A bigger line-up, means we’re covering more of the anime that you’re watching and we couldn’t be more excited!
