As many fans know, the hype is real for this one, and the moving story and beautiful animation really explain what has made this the highest grossing anime film of all time worldwide. Because of the overwhelming love and passion for this film from you, the fans, we worked closely with our partners in Japan to bring you Your Name. to home video less than 3.5 months after Japanese release—a speed that is rarely beat!
A special film deserves a special home video release, and we wanted to make a limited edition that has a special place on your shelf. Check out these in-depth previews of this collector’s release!
This limited edition is housed in a pull-apart box with a stunning rainbow holographic finish—in all honesty, this effect is gorgeous and difficult to replicate in preview images here, so look out for the finished product. The two-part box unites the two star-crossed lovers, Taki and Mitsuha, and features the main and teaser keyart on either side to unify that effect.
In addition to the film discs, this release also includes the two-disc special edition bilingual soundtrack by hit Japanese band Radwimps. Fans who’ve seen the film know that music plays a HUGE part in the film and we’re ecstatic to be able to include this soundtrack. The discs feature both the Japanese version of the soundtrack as well as the English version, first heard in the North American theatrical run! Both the film and music discs are housed in a special art digipack featuring the beautiful dusk-time key visual from the film used in Japan.
Also included is a 60 page hardcover art book with plenty of color illustrations, as well as concept art.
Aside from the physical extras, Your Name. home video releases also come with nearly a full hour of on-disc extra features:
