- Find the six hidden passwords. Clues for a new password will be given out every two weeks beginning on May 7th, 2018. Passwords may be hidden in emails, social media, the Golden Kamuy page, Golden Kamuy episodes, or awarded for completion of tasks.
- Enter the password on the contest page. Each password must be entered individually, and in order of corresponding quest, so be sure to remember all passwords and their order until the very end of the treasure hunt.
- For every password you enter correctly, a new piece will be added to the map. There are six pieces, and don’t worry, no skinning required for this quest!
- Once you’ve collected all six pieces and submitted the completed map, you will be entered for a chance to win one of five $100 gift cards, good for any merch in The Funimation Shop.
- The contest will end promptly on July 30th, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. CST, so be sure to complete your map early.
- Winners will be selected randomly from all the completed entries and will be contacted through the email address entered along with the first password.
- Incomplete or late entries will not be eligible for a grand prize.
- You may share information with friends, but remember, the more entries we receive, the less likely you are to win.

Please read these rules before entering the Golden Kamuy Treasure Hunt Contest (the “Contest”). You agree that, by submitting an entry, you will be bound by these Official Rules and you acknowledge that you satisfy all Contest eligibility requirements.
Eligibility. If you are an individual legal resident of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia or Canada and are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry, you are eligible to enter the Contest. Our employees and employees of Funimation Entertainment (“Funimation”), and Funimation’s employees’ immediate family members (spouses, domestic partners, parents, grandparents, siblings, children and grandchildren), and Funimation ’s affiliates, advisors or advertising/promotion agencies (and their immediate family members) are not eligible to enter the Contest.
Contest Period. The Contest begins at 2:00:00 PM (CT) on May 8th, 2018, and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. (CT) on July 30th, 2018 (the “Contest Period”).
How to Enter. To enter, during the Contest Period visit https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/RCZM9VR and follow the instructions to complete the online entry form provided and submit all appropriate passwords to receive one (1) entry in the Contest random drawing.
To be eligible we must receive all eligible entries by 11:59:59 p.m. (PT) on July 30th, 2018. Limit of one (1) entry per person using only one (1) e-mail address throughout the Contest Period. You may not use multiple customer accounts or email addresses to enter the Contest, and entries submitted through multiple accounts or email addresses will be disqualified.
Mailing List. By entering the Contest, you consent to being placed on a mailing list for promotional and other materials from Funimation.com.
Other Promotions. Please note that we may be running similar Contest at the same time as this Contest. By entering this Contest, you will not be eligible to receive any prize awarded in any other Contest unless you enter each Contest separately.
Prize. We will award five (5) prizes, consisting of a $100 gift card to The Funimation Shop on August 3rd, 2018 (exact date is subject to approval by Sponsor in its sole discretion).
The total Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of prize is $500.00. If the actual value of any prize is less than the stated ARV, we will not award the difference in cash. The guest must be 18 years of age or older.
The prize will be fulfilled by Funimation, or Funimation’s respective prize provider agency (collectively, “Contest Entities”). If you are selected as the potential winner, Contest Entities will use the information you submit in connection with this Contest to fulfill the prize. If the potential prize winners are unable to participate in the prize specified by Contest Entities, Sponsor may select an alternative potential winner for the prize. If the prize cannot be awarded to an alternative potential winner due to no response, Contest Entities reserve the right, but are not obligated, to award a substitute prize, which may include, but is not limited to, a cash prize equivalent to the ARV of the prize (i.e., $500.00) as described in these Official Rules.
Prize Drawing. A random drawing will be held on or about August 1st, 2018. Five (5) potential prize winners will be selected from among all entries received throughout the Contest Period. Funimation will notify the potential winners by e-mail within 3 business days following the applicable drawing. Potential winners also must sign and return any additional documentation necessary for prize fulfillment as requested by Contest Entities. We will select an alternative potential winner if the potential winner does not claim the prize within 72 hours of notification, or meet the eligibility criteria. The prize will be awarded “AS IS” and WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, express or implied (including, without limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose).
Odds of Winning. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received throughout the Contest Period.
Additional Terms. We may, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law and in our sole discretion, change these rules or cancel the Contest at any time; or modify, terminate, or suspend the Contest should viruses, worms, bugs, unauthorized human intervention or other causes beyond our control corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Contest or submission of entries. We are not responsible for: (a) lost, misdirected, late, incomplete, or unintelligible entries or registries or for inaccurate entry information, whether caused by you or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest, or by any technical or human error that may occur in the processing of entries; (b) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Contest; (c) any error in the operation or transmission, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries, or for technical, network, telephone, computer, hardware or software, malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of, or failure to receive any entry information on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website; or (d) injury or damage to your or any other computer resulting from downloading any materials in connection with the Contest. We may, in our sole discretion, disqualify any individual found to be: (x) tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or website; (y) acting in violation of these rules; or (z) acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. If your entry is incomplete or if you use robotic, automatic, programmed or similar entry methods, your entry will be void. The authorized owner of the e-mail account used to enter the Contest at the actual time of entry will be deemed to be the participant and must comply with these rules in the event of a dispute as to entries submitted by multiple users having the same e-mail account. The authorized owner is the natural person who is assigned an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domains associated with the submitted e-mail addresses. No greater than the one (1) prize stated in these Official Rules will be awarded. If any technical errors occur in the selection of the potential prize winner or if more prizes are claimed than the one (1) prize being awarded as provided in these Official Rules, we may award the prize by random drawing from among all eligible claimants.
Miscellaneous. The Contest is governed by the laws of the United States. The Contest and all accompanying materials are © 2018 or licensed by Funimation Entertainment and its affiliates. All rights reserved. If you win the prize, you may not transfer, assign, or redeem the prize for cash. We may substitute the prize with a prize of equal or greater value. Winner agrees (for himself or herself and his or her heirs) that, by accepting the prize, Funimation, along with each of our respective affiliates and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”), will have no liability, and will be held harmless by the winner for any liability, loss, injury or damage to property or person, including death, and reasonable attorney’s fees and court costs, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, by reason of the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize or participation in the Contest, even if caused or contributed to by the negligence of any of the Released Parties. You agree that our decisions related to the Contest and all drawings are final. Winner agrees that, by participating in the Contest, we may use the winner’s name, image or likeness in any manner and in any medium for our promotional purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law, and we may be required to disclose the winner’s address to state regulatory authorities.
Winners’ Names. After we confirm the winners, we will post the winners’ names on Funimation’s Facebook and Twitter accounts.
