A Hollywood television adaptation of Steins;Gate is on its way!
The news was revealed as part of the Science ADV Live S;G 1010th Anniversary event, celebrating 10 years of Steins;Gate and the release of the original visual novel. The television series will be produced by Skydance Television, who is also working on an adaptation of Sword Art Online for Netflix, and has produced titles like Altered Carbon and Jack Ryan.
Also announced at the event was Steins;Gate 0 Elite, a fully-animated remake of the Steins;Gate 0 visual novel for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PS Vita and iOS, similar to 2018’s Steins;Gate Elite.
This “session” is just one of the events happening as part of the series’ anniversary celebration, which kicked off with a live concert.
Steins;Gate debuted in 2009 as a visual novel and was adapted into an anime series in 2011 to critical acclaim.
