Ready for a new look at the world of magical girls? The English dub of Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story premieres this Saturday, February 8 at 4 pm ET, exclusively on Funimation.
The dub cast includes:

- Erika Harlacher as Yachiyo Nanami
- Cassandra Morris as Small Kyubey
- Erica Lindbeck as Momoko Togame
- Brianna Knickerbocker as Kaede Akino
- Erica Mendez as Rena Minami
- Faye Mata as Kuroe

“When I found out I was cast, I was absolutely thrilled,” said Buckland. “I normally play a lot of ‘mean girl’ type characters which is really fun, but it was a nice change to play someone with a sweet and kind heart like Iroha. The recording has been absolutely wonderful so far — especially thanks to our fantastic director — and I am completely hooked on the story and the unique visuals!”
When she auditioned for the series, Harlacher immediately hoped she would be cast as Yachiyo. “Yachiyo is such a great character, I love her so much already and was secretly hoping during the audition process that if I was cast, it would be as her. I’m so happy to have the privilege of portraying her in this beautiful show.”
Synopsis:
Few people know the truth: the world is safe thanks to the Magical Girls who are forced to slay Witches. Even though these girls are putting their lives on the line for a wish, rumors say they can be saved in Kamihama City. That’s where Iroha Tamaki is headed in search of answers. She can’t remember the wish she made to Kyubey, but a shadowy figure haunts her dreams.
Set in the same world as the critically-acclaimed Puella Magi Madoka Magica series, Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story began airing on January 4, 2020. The series is also available subbed on Funimation, with new episodes released every Saturday at 11:30 am ET.
