Announced at Katsucon 2020, the brand new anime series from Jin and Dai Sato, Listeners, is joining the Funimation Spring 2020 lineup!
From MAPPA (Terror in Resonance, Yuri!!! on ICE), Listeners takes place in a world where the entire idea of music vanishes from existence. The story follows Echo Rec (Ayumu Murase), a young teen who comes across μ (Rie Takahashi), a girl who, oddly enough, has an auxiliary port on her body. Together, they’ll work to rock the foundation of society and bring music back to the world.
Jin (MEKAKUCITY ACTORS, Kagerou Daze), Dai Sato (Cowboy Bebop, Eureka Seven, Samurai Champloo) and Taichi Hashimoto are listed as creators of the series, while Hiroaki Andou (Godzilla: City on the Edge of Battle) will serve as director, and Kisuke Koizumi (Dororo, All Out!!) as sound director. Sato will also serve as series composer.
