While anticipation is mounting for the show’s second season later this year, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is also getting a spin-off anime adaptation of Fuse and Shiba’s The Slime Diaries manga!
The gag comedy series deviates a bit from the main plot and instead focuses on the daily lives of Rimuru and the Jura Tempest Federation.
The official website revealed the key visual and PV while BANDAI NAMCO uploaded the PV to its official YouTube page. The Japanese voice actors from the series will reprise their roles, while a new staff will oversee production of The Slime Diaries at Eight Bit—the same studio that’s producing the main anime series. Broadcast date is set for January 2021.

The Slime Diaries launched in 2018 and has since sold over 500,000 million copies in Japan. Kodansha Comics licensed and published volumes one and two digitally in 2019.
