Sorcerous Stabber Orphen Season 2 Is Officially Happening

Sorcerous Stabber Orphen Season 2 has been officially announced by GENCO, Inc. The news was revealed in a short teaser video posted online, timed to the release of the first season’s final episode.

According to Anime News Network, the title of the second season is translated as Sorcerous Stabber Orphen -Battle of Kimluck-. No release date has been announced, but an OVA episode was confirmed for Japanese release on May 8.

Sorcerous Stabber Orphen Season 1 was directed by Takayuki Hamana, written by Reiko Yoshida and animated by Studio DEEN (Junjo Romantica, Fate/stay night) with character design by Takahiko Yoshida (Big Windup!, Cells at Work!).

Commissioned to celebrate the original story’s 25th anniversary, Sorcerous Stabber Orphen follows the titular character (Showtaro Morikubo, David Matranga), a dropout-turned-grifter who was once a student at the prestigious sorcery school, the Tower of Fangs. But his past comes roaring back when the dragon that’d once been his makeshift older sister Azalie (Yōko Hikasa, Lindsay Seidel) turns up, and he must team up with new allies like the plucky Claiomh (Rumi Okubo, Sarah Wiedenheft) on a quest to get Azalie, and things at the Tower of Fangs, back to normal.
