How Not to Summon a Demon Lord Season 2 is officially on its way! Announced on the series’ official Japanese website, the second season will premiere in 2021.
The title for Season 2 is Isekai Maō to Shōkan Shōjo no Dorei Majutsu Ω, which roughly translates to How Not to Summon a Demon Lord Omega. To celebrate the announcement, Naoto Fukuda (who adapts the novel series to manga) put together an illustration of Diablo!
Per Anime News Network, How Not to Summon a Demon Lord Season 2 will be directed by Satoshi Kuwabara, with Shizue Kaneko returning as character designer. The original Japanese voice cast for Diablo, Rem Galleu and Shera L. Greenwood are confirmed to return as well. Tezuka Productions and Okuru to Noboru will produce.
Season 1 of How Not to Summon a Demon Lord broadcast in Summer 2018, with the SimulDub airing on Funimation.
The series follows Takuma Sakamoto, affectionately known as the Demon Lord in the popular MMORPG, Cross Reverie. While a magical prodigy in the game, he’s a social outcast in real life. But one day, he’s sent to another world as his game avatar, and it’s up to him to now act like the powerful magic user he pretends to be.
