From MAHO FILM comes the latest Funimation co-production: By the Grace of the Gods.
Based on the light novel series of the same name from Roy and Ririnra, this fantasy isekai series will arrive on Funimation and we cannot wait to share it with you!
When 39-year-old Takebayashi Ryoma dies from blood loss (after sneezing and hitting his head on the ground), he is reincarnated as an 8-year-old boy in a fantasy world. Not the greatest way to bite the dust, but at least he reincarnates!
Set on this path by three major gods, Ryoma begins to live a life of solitude in the forest, studying slimes. But if you’re a fan of isekai…you know life for him won’t be that simple.
The series will be directed by Yuji Yanase, with Kazuyuki Fudeyasu servinig as series composer and scriptwriter, and Kaho Deguchi as character designer and executive art director.
To celebrate the announcement of the anime, light novel illustrator Ririnra put together this special illustration of Ryoma! Director Yanase and designer Deguchi also sent two additional illustrations! We can’t wait to see them come to life!
