The Promised Neverland Live-Action Series Reportedly in the Works at Amazon

The Promised Neverland Grace Field

The children of Grace Field House may have found a home at Amazon, in live action! 

Variety reports that an adaptation of the best-selling Weekly Shonen Jump manga The Promised Neverland is being developed at Amazon Studios and Fox 21 Television Studios.

The series will be written by Meghan Malloy and produced and directed by Rodney Rothman. The two previously worked together on 2018’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

Based on the manga from Kaiu Shirai and Posuka Demizu, The Promised Neverland tells the the story of the children of Grace Field House, an orphanage that hides a dark and mysterious secret. It’s up to protagonist Emma and her two closest friends, Ray and Norman, to uncover the mystery and save their family. It debuted as an anime in 2019 from Aniplex of America.

This news comes just a week after it was announced that The Promised Neverland weekly manga will end with Chapter 181, set for release this coming weekend.
