If you’re a fan of K-pop group SuperM and also My Hero Academia, chances are you might have spotted something that caught your attention: Taeyong Todoroki!?

Ahead of the release of SuperM’s upcoming single “100” (out August 14), the group’s official Twitter posted a promo shot of Taeyong in what seems to be full-on Todoroki cosplay. And we’ve got to say, he owns it.

The hype has been REAL for SuperM’s upcoming album, Super One, releasing on September 25. Of course, eagle-eyed fans were quick to notice the similarities between this photo of Taeyong and everyone’s favorite icy hot hero, Shoto Todoroki: split red and white hair, differing eye color and a blue fit to match.

SuperM, a supergroup consisting of members from four different SM Entertainment boy groups, debuted in October 2019 with their single, “Jopping.” They quickly took the world by storm and their self-titled EP entered the Billboard 200 at No. 1.

SM Entertainment’s head producer and founder, Lee Soo-man, calls them the “Avengers of K-pop,” further strengthening the thread between the idols and superheroes!

Oh, and this isn’t the first time a K-pop idol group has been shown to be fans of anime. In 2018, superstar group BTS answered an interview question about their favorite anime. The members, specifically Suga, were extremely enthusiastic about their love for Dragon Ball, Naruto and One Piece.

In a 2017 video behind the scenes of MAMA awards you can see member V watching My Hero Academia.

And even legendary duo TVXQ!, who provided an opening for One Piece, have worn series cosplay to annual SMTOWN Halloween events! You love to see it.
