From Aniplex and Code Geass director Goro Taniguchi, the Back Arrow anime is already set to be a stunner! And the wait is almost over, as the series is set to premiere in Japan in January 2021, and is now confirmed to run for two consecutive cours.
The official website for the series revealed the new batch of info, as well as additional visuals, character designs and staff information. Oh, and the mecha.
Several mecha designs were shown off, including the Briheight (this one goes by Muga), which the series’ protagonist can manifest. It was designed by the legendary Hidetaka Tenjin, known for his work designing mecha for Macross Zero and Macross Frontier as well as a ton of other credits.

Other additional Briheight mecha reveals included (from left to right) Ryuju, Shadoh and Gigan.
In addition to Tenjin-san, director Goro Taniguchi and Gurren Lagann writer Kazuki Nakashima, the Back Arrow staff has also recruited Masahiro Yamane (Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, S-CRY-ed) as CG Action Supervisor, with Dynamo Pictures on CG Production, photography and compositing from Chiptune, and backgrounds by Studio Wyeth. Studio VOLN is animating the series.
