The wait for The Promised Neverland Season 2 is almost over! The long-anticipated second season will make its debut in Japan on January 7, and a new teaser trailer was revealed!

Posted to the series’ official staff Twitter account, we now have a brief glimpse at what’s to come in this next set of episodes. And after the ending of Season 1, the stakes have never been higher!

The Promised Neverland Season 2 was originally scheduled to air in October 2020, but was pushed to Winter 2021 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. News of the January 7 premiere date was confirmed during the Fuji TV Anime Lineup Press Conference 2020 livestream.

The Promised Neverland quickly took the anime world by storm after its debut in January 2019. The series tells the story of the orphans living at Grace Field House. This is a nice, peaceful place where they never go hungry, and Mom, their caretaker, loves them like a parent.

But Emma, Ray and Norman—three of the oldest children at Grace Field House—learn that “adoption day” is far from the happy event it’s made out to be. Horrors await them, with the children’s wit being their only real chance of survival…

A live-action film adapted from the original manga is set to open on December 18 in Japan, and a live-action television series is also in development at Amazon. The Promised Neverland manga wrapped up in June 2020 with 181 chapters.
