The Mugen Train cannot be stopped! Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train has continued to break records, and is now the 7th highest-grossing film of 2020 worldwide!
Deadline reports that the film, based on the hit anime and manga series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, is now ranked among the highest-earning films of the year at the global box office. In addition, it’s in the #2 spot for animated films worldwide, outselling Pixar’s Onward.
Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train has now sold ~15.4 million tickets, earning around $197 million in Japan alone, where it is the 5th highest-earning film of all time.

The film, which follows the events of the anime, follows Tanjiro, Nezuko, Inosuke and Zenitsu as they board the mysterious Mugen Train, where a series of disappearances are a cause of concern. They also join the revered Flame Hashira, Rengoku, on their quest.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train hits theaters in the United States and Canada in early 2021, as a co-release from Funimation and Aniplex of America.
