It’s really happening—they spilled their guts and announced a Chainsaw Man anime! Along with the MAPPA studio reveal, the series’ official Twitter account also drew first blood with this ripper of a teaser visual.

MAPPA dove into the horror-action genre in 2019’s Dorohedoro, and with the two trending together on Twitter, there’s already speculation about who we might see on the staff list. A Chainsaw Man stage event is set for Jump Festa 2021 next weekend, so we might not have to wait long to find out!

Furthermore, it was also revealed that the manga, originally announced to be ending this weekend, will be reborn in its ‘second part’ on the Shounen Jump+ online service—Tatsuki Fujimoto’s bloody creation was first serialized in December 2018 in the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine.

Synopsis (via VIZ Media): Denji’s a poor young man who’ll do anything for money, even hunting down devils with his pet devil-dog Pochita. He’s a simple man with simple dreams, drowning under a mountain of debt.

But his sad life gets turned upside down one day when he’s betrayed by someone he trusts. Now with the power of a devil inside him, Denji’s become a whole new man—Chainsaw Man!
