We’re back again with more BIG numbers to share this season!

Earlier this week, we reported that Horimiya eclipsed Kaguya-sama: Love is War? as the biggest launch of any romantic comedy anime on anime listing site (MAL). And now, another anime by studio CloverWorks has come out swinging—The Promised Neverland Season 2.

At the end of the first episode’s full one-week period, 131,994 users on MAL marked themselves as “Watching” The Promised Neverland Season 2, placing the series squarely between Attack on Titan Final Season and My Hero Academia Season 4 as the second-biggest premiere of all time.

Here’s the current top 10:

With three spots on the chart, Winter 2021 has already cemented itself as a season for the history books!

But it’s not quite set yet: That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2 and Dr. STONE – STONE WARS also have a high chance of making it in with their premieres. We’ll definitely be keeping an eye on them. 👀
