That’s a lot of manga. Shueisha has announced that Eiichiro Oda’s famed One Piece series has reached 480 million copies in circulation worldwide! The news coincides with the release of One Piece Volume 98 in Japan.
The 480 million copies total includes over 400 million in Japan alone, with an additional 80 million from more than 42 countries and territories around the world.

But the One Piece fun doesn’t stop there! Shueisha is also running a TikTok campaign where fans can post using limited-time One Piece filter effects while using the hashtag #麦わらの一味の負ける気がしねェチャレンジ. Fans have a chance to win 10 replica art pieces from the series!
This special campaign celebrating Volume 98 runs through February 18.
And if you’ve been keeping up, this latest milestone is just another celebration as the One Piece manga goes beyond its 1,000th chapter, which published earlier this year. Not to mention the World Top 100 character poll, which is still going!
Wow, that’s a lot of One Piece. For even more, you can catch the series simulcast and English dub right here on Funimation!
