Are you ready for a new batch of info for the upcoming The Worlds Ends with You The Animation? A new promo video and visual have been revealed, along with the confirmed broadcast date and info on the opening theme artist!

First up, the promo video, which also gives us our first listen of the series’ opening theme song, titled “TEENAGE CITY RIOT,” performed by the group ALI. Featured on the track is R-Shitei, known for being part of the hip-hop group Creepy Nuts.

Then there’s the latest visual for The World Ends with You The Animation, which reintroduces us to the main participants of the Reaper’s Game, including Sanae Hanekoma, who wasn’t present on the series’ first key visual.

And, of course, the premiere date for Episode 1 in Japan: April 9.


From domerica, Shin-Ei Animation and director Kazuya Ichikawa, The World Ends with You The Animation is based on the RPG video game series from Square Enix’s Tetsuya Nomura (Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy VII Remake).

The series will simulcast exclusively on Funimation.
