SK8 the Infinity Seiyuu Reenact OP Intro For TikTok Challenge

SK8 the Infinity

Be honest, how many times have you tried to replicable the sweet skating moves in SK8 the Infinity? Even if you aren’t an expert snowboarder/skating prodigy like Langa, there are things you can try at home (well, hopefully not at home, but outside) like recreating the fantastic opening sequence while singing “Paradise.”

And if you don’t believe us, just watch the actual voice actors for Reki and Langa reenact the OP for a TikTok challenge!

The official Twitter account for SK8 the Infinity shared the video on Saturday, promoting a new video contest on TikTok from Aniplex, in collaboration with the Japan Skateboarding Federation, or JSF, and Japanese candy company Bourbon.

Anyone can participate, and the contest’s website has the instructions and the different kinds of tricks participants can show off in their video. Unfortunately, you do have to be based in Japan to enter the contest, but you don’t need to enter to show off your skating skills on TikTok and see if you are better than Reki and Langa!

Even in live-action, watching Tasuku Hatanaka and Chiaki Kobayashi reenact the little dancing from the opening of SK8 the Infinity is still super charming and fun, and once you start listening to Rude-α’s “Paradise” you simply can’t stop.

SK8 the infinity centers on Reki, a second-year high school student, and his new friend Langa, who is just returning to Japan from Canada and discovers that his snowboarding skills are surprisingly useful in skateboarding, as they both get caught up in a dangerous and exciting underground skateboard race called “S.”

Are you excited for the next episode of SK8 the Infinity? Have you picked up skateboarding because of the show? How many times have you listened to “Paradise”? Share this post and let us know! And stay tuned to Funimation for the latest news on all things anime, this season and beyond.
