It looks like the apprentice-turned-bride is making a return this year in Japan, as a new The Ancient Magus’ Bride anime project has been announced!

The official Twitter for the series revealed the news on Tuesday, announcing that the celebrated manga series will be receiving a new anime project titled The Ancient Magus’ Bride: Nishi no Shonen to Seiran no Kishi, a three-episode original anime disc from the brand-new Studio Kafka.

Described as the “first part” of the new anime project, this OAD is set before Chise attends The College, with Spriggan visiting the home of the Mage and his future bride to tell them about a new Wild Hunt.

The story will also focus on Gabriel, who is tired of living alone in an unfamiliar land. So, he comes up with a plan to become part of the world of magic. The OAD will release in Japan on September 10 as a special bundle with three volumes of the manga.
