The surreal mystery of Higurashi will continue! We’re excited to announce that Higurashi: When They Cry – SOTSU will arrive this July on Funimation.
Higurashi: When They Cry – NEW debuted in Fall 2020 and quickly gained interest from longtime fans of the series and newcomers jumping in for the first time, as its early twists and turns proved unique in the horror and psychological anime space.
Things got a bit wild when it was revealed that the “true” title of the series was Higurashi: When They Cry – GOU, and that it was actually a continuation of the original series! And now, the next chapter has been revealed.
Fun fact: The kanji for SOTSU and GOU together is sotsugyou 卒業, which means “Graduation,” and is a big part of the story in GOU.
