Dr. STONE Anime Sequel Has Been Officially Announced

Don’t be sad that the Dr. STONE Season 2 simulcast is coming to a close, get excited! The next chapter of the series is officially in production.

The official Japanese Twitter account for Dr. STONE dropped a short video today revealing that production on the series “sequel” is already underway. The video shows the Kingdom of Science setting sail, with adorable pirate looks for everyone!

The announcement thanked fans for their continued support, reminding them to keep an eye out for more news to come. A release date or official title has not yet been announced.

Dr. STONE began airing in July 2019 with a 24-episode Season 1. Following its success, Dr. STONE Season 2 was confirmed and premiered in January 2021. The series is directed by Shinya Iino at TMS Entertainment and is written by Yuichiro Kido (Fruits Basket), with music by Tatsuya Kato (Food Wars!).
