My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission Movie Announced, PV Revealed

Today is a big day for My Hero Academia fans! Not only has the first episode of My Hero Academia Season 5 premiered, but we got our first batch of info for the upcoming third movie in the franchise!

First up, the film’s title was officially revealed! My Hero Academia THE MOVIE: World Heroes’ Mission is the name, and the film will arrive August 6 in Japan. Once again, studio Bones will produce the anime.

The series’ first movie, My Hero Academia: Two Heroes, released in 2018 and grossed $5.7 million at the United States box office. It was followed by the second film, My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising in 2019 in Japan and 2020 in North America. It ranked #1 on its day of release in the U.S. and earned approximately $2.5 million on opening day

Created by Kohei Horikoshi, My Hero Academia was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2014. The manga is still ongoing, and the first season of the anime adaptation premiered in 2016. The series quickly reached worldwide popularity, inspiring other adaptations like video games, films and manga spinoffs.
