If you polled anime fans on what sequel they’d want the most, there’s no doubt that JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 6: Stone Ocean would be high on the list. Well it looks like that news has finally arrived: a Stone Ocean anime is officially happening!
The announcement was made at the “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure – JOESTAR the Inherited Soul -” event in Japan, which unveiled a teaser visual and trailer welcoming the franchise’s first female protagonist.
Ai Fairouz (How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift?) will be taking up the Joestar mantle as Jolyne Kujo. David Production is not yet confirmed to return.

First published in 1999, Stone Ocean is the sixth installment in the decades-long JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure manga series by Hirohiko Araki. The story continues on from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 5: Golden Wind, jumping ahead 10 years to Florida, where Jolyne has been imprisoned for a crime she didn’t commit.
