Get ready, sports anime fans! MAPPA has released the first teaser for its upcoming original water polo anime series, RE-MAIN.
Meet Minato Kiyomizu, a former competitive water polo player whose life was changed by an incident during his third year of middle school. Now in high school, Minato finds the courage to jump back into the pool and embrace his destiny with new friends and teammates at his side.
Of course, the path to victory won’t be easy. RE-MAIN is certain to be an inspiring and heartwarming story that’s about to make everyone a water polo fan.
Judging by the teaser, it’s also going to include plenty of gorgeous, action-packed animation as water droplets fly through the air and sparkle in the sunshine!

Additional cast members for the series have also been announced, including Soma Saitou as Shugo Amihama; Makoto Furukawa as Takekazu Ejiri; Tasuku Hatanaka as Yutaka Babayaro Inomata; and Daisuke Hirose as Yoshiharu Ushimado.
The series is co-created by chief director Masafumi Nishida (Tiger & Bunny). No airdate has been announced yet, but the series is slated for some time in 2021.
