Tesla Note Anime

Are you a fan of the work of Masafumi Nishida? Well then, this news is for you. The battle between the world’s most ruinous spies over the legacy of Nikola Tesla is officially getting an anime adaptation!

Kodansha has announced that spy-action manga Tesla Note, from Tiger & Bunny writer Masafumi Nishida, Tadayashi Kubo and Kota Sannomiya, will be getting an anime in 2021!

The official website for the series posted a promo trailer, key visual and character designs, as well as confirmed the cast and crew for Tesla Note‘s production.

The manga, which first debuted in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine in January, follows Botan Negoro, a trained ninja and talented spy, as they team up with Kuruma, a very capable yet theatrical spy, on a mission to determine the fate of the world.

What could possibly be that important? How about recovering the legacy of Nikola Tesla?

The series will be animated by Studio Gambit with Michio Fukada (TERRA FORMARS: Revenge) as the series director. Nishida is writing and supervising the series scripts, with illustrator POKImari (Sorcery in the Big City) on original character designs and Kaoru Wada (Inuyasha, Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon) composing the music.

The anime’s main voice cast includes Konomi Kohara (Asobi Asobase) as Botan Negoro; Tatsuhisa Suzuki (Baka & Test) as Kuruma; Tomoaki Maeno as Ryunosuke Takamatsu (STARMYU); Junichi Suwabe (Jujutsu Kaisen) as Mickey Miller; and Hiroshi Kamiya (Attack on Titan) as Oliver Thornton. A Twitter account has been launched for the anime as well.

This latest news comes just after it was announced that Nishida will also be returning to the Tiger & Bunny franchise as story director and scriptwriter for its second season, airing in 2022.
