Good news, isekai fans! The long-awaited Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest 2nd Season will officially arrive in January 2022.

The anime’s official website revealed a new key visual for the series, as well as a short video announcing the broadcast window for the upcoming second season.

Akira Iwanaga (The Morose Mononokean, Gunslinger Girl) joins the series as its new director, along with a new animation studio, studio MOTHER, joining asread. from Season 1. But it’s not all new faces for Arifureta.

Scriptwriter Shoichi Sato (Tenchi Muyo! GXP) returns from Season 1 to work on the second season, along with Chika Kojima(The Future Diary, Big Order) as character designer and chief animator.

Also confirmed was the returning voice cast for the series, including Toshinari Fukamachi as Hajime; Yuki Kuwahara as Yue; Minami Takahashi as Shea; Yoko Hikasa as Tio Klarus; Saori Onishi as Kaori; and Yumiri Hanamori as Shizuku.

And joining the cast is Noriko Shibasaki as Liliana S.B. Heiligh and Rina Sato as Noint.

Season 1 of the Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest anime debuted in July 2019 and is available subbed and in English dub right here on Funimation.
