The playable cast for the upcoming Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba video game is growing! Tanjiro’s mentor Sakonji Urokodaki is officially joining the game’s roster.

The news was revealed via the game’s official Twitter account, complete with new art of the retired Water Hashira.
If you’re familiar with the series, you’ll remember Urokodaki as Tanjiro’s mentor who trained him in preparation to become a Demon Slayer. Master of the Water Breathing technique, he also trained Giyu, Sabito and Makomo.
Kimetsu no Yaiba: Hinokami Keppūtan will sport a full story mode, allowing fans to re-experience the events of the first 26 episodes of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime. Also included is a versus mode, where you can take on your friends as your favorite characters from the series.
Urokodaki joins the previously announced playable roster, including Tanjiro, Nezuko, Giyu, Inosuke and Zenitsu. The game hits PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X and Steam later this year in Japan.
