Tales of fans, the news you’ve been waiting for has finally arrived! BANDAI NAMCO has announced that the latest in the series, Tales of Arise, will be launching on September 9 worldwide!
A release was confirmed for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, in addition to previously announced platforms PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

The setting for Tales of Arise is split into two: Dahna and Rena. The former is medieval-inspired, while the latter is more advanced. The game follows two protagonists journeying together, Alphen and Shionne, who are native to Dahna and Rena, respectively.

The team working on this entry includes newcomers to the series as well as veterans, including Minoru Iwamoto (Tales of Zestiria, Tales of Berseria) on art direction and character design, and Yusuke Tomizawa (Code Vein, God Eater) serving as producer.

Also revealed was a new trailer for the upcoming game, introducing us to a group of new characters. There’s Rowe, a young man who specializes in hand-to-hand combat; Rinwell, a young, female magic user who wields a book; and Biezo, a brutish character armed with an axe. Based on his interactions with our protagonists, Biezo looks to be an enemy.
A seven-minute gameplay demonstration was also released, detailing the game’s real-time battle system in two areas of the game, an unnamed desert and the snow-covered Cyslodia.
Originally slated for a 2020 release, Tales of Arise was delayed due to COVID-19. The long-awaited entry finally arrives on September 9.
